Jake the Cat, Lane County’s premier dance band brings you the perfect mixture of sophisticated pop, R&B, smooth jazz, and rock to set the mood for your event, be it a quiet reception or a rousing party. JtC has captivated audiences at large festivals, intimate clubs, as well as private & corporate parties.

Jake the Cat is a versatile R&B / smooth-jazz combo consisting of vocals, keyboard, guitar, bass, traps, and latin percussion. Although the JtC repertoire ranges from funk and blues to rock and jazz, all of it is geared toward dancing and listening pleasure. Based in Eugene, Oregon, JtC has played extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest in venues including vineyards, weddings, and corporate parties, as well as nightclubs and festivals. JtC’s musicians have extensive experience in fine-tuning their sound to fit the occasion, providing quiet background music at a supper club or improvisational fireworks at a blues festival. JtC’s song list includes tunes by artists such as Carlos Santana, Ray Charles, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, Grover Washington Jr, and many many more. Dancing shoes are required! |
